My Boyfriend

(If I had only known the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about my ex’s double life he had been living right under my nose, I would have not been in this relationship. November 25, 2925)

In December, I will have been married to Jim for thirty years. We've seen some very good times together. We have lived in wonderful places like South Korea, Germany, North Carolina, Georgia, California, Ohio, and Texas. Jim is my better half. He completes me and he had me at hello. I love you, Jimbo. I want you to know how much I appreciate the hard work you have done on your job since 2004. You have given until it hurts. I only hope that someday your Company will recognize and compensate your dedication and hard work. Come back to me safely. Let's start another chapter together.

Horses to Hug

This is one of the horses at Domaine Mechtildshausen, Germany, I always hugged when I got lonely or down in the dumps.

I took Jim there to introduce the two of them. I love horses.

And, I love Jim.

South Padre Island

David is in college studying photography. He was very interested in the birds while we were on vacation last December at South Padre Island, Texas. Jim came home from the war, James and David joined us, and we were a family for the first time in quite some time. It was a very good vacation which I enjoyed. I have bird seed in both hands trying to entice the birds closer to me. I was not very successful. I would recommend a family vacation every year to rejuvenate and get closer to the ones you truly love.

Katie in Love!

This is Katie, my Step-Niece. She was just falling in love in this picture. Katie is another wonderful soul in my life. She is beautiful, kind, gentle, and very loving. I can't wait to see her children. I love you, Katie!

I think you know these people. I you don't, you should meet them.

First if Blaine. He is my step-nephew who hails from Long Beach, CA. He is a dance instructor and a Barista at Starbucks. He makes me laugh.

Second is my sister, Vicki. She has been my sister for 51 years. She took very good care of me in my early years in place of my Mother. And, she raised two beautiful children who have made her very proud. I would not trade my sister for anyone, except maybe Lucille Ball. Lucy might me a little funnier that my Vicki.

Enjoy looking at these two wonderfully crazy people in my life.

Love always,
Niena

Rain in Texas

It is raining in my part of Texas. It has been raining almost every day since early May. Everyone around me is sick and tired of the rain. I am not. I love seeing all the water coming down. I know the flooding is not good for the land. And, all the people are not enjoying the flooding as it damages many things in their lives. It would be good to know that people could relax and enjoy the world around them rather than being so critical of the weather. I think we are governed by the weather of our world. Our lives are patterned around what is going on in our universe. Chill-lax. . .and look around you! Enjoy the world.

We are the same!

One of my core beliefs about our earth is we are the same people on the planet. We must work together, locally, to make our short stay here better for those that come after us. When differences are recognized between people then there will be a difference. If people are people then it does not matter what differences exists. I think we, as people, should recognize men and women of the world in light of their heritage. That would be the only difference that would separate us from each other. To insist there are, so called, white leaders and black leaders of our nation is going against everything I believe to be true. If George Bush is considered to be a white leader based on his ethnicity excludes his ability to lead the United States, as a whole. If that were accurate, he ceases to be a leader because he can only lead those of the same skin color. That would mean Barak Obama can only lead those people in our nation of his skin color. Doesn't that seem absurd. I think it does. What can we say about ourselves when we allow all black colleges to exist when it would be prejudiced to allow all white (insert anything you can think of). My hope would be we can understand people come from heritage and not from skin tone. I don't think there is one person on the earth with the same skin color. It would be hard to find two people on the earth with the same eye color or even handwritting. Why is there a difference? Do we expect one?

The Block Party

The beginning of this year has been really fun at the Block Party. I have been doing tax returns at H&R Block in Texas. Such fun! Really, I love it. Go to a nearby H&R Block and tell them I sent you.
Have fun! And get your taxes done.
